I've been told a million times it's got nothing to do with race/sex/gender etc...

But we find out this election and Trump, it actually had everything to do with it.

He whistled those whistles, he flat out fucking said bigoted shit. He is a sexual predator..

And the people still voted for him.

Tell me again it has nothing to do with that and I'll sell you a bridge to nowhere.

They were words that were tailored directly to the base he generated.

Racism, bigotry (every kind imaginable), misogyny, xenophobia , etc were the only solid "things" in his campaign. I also note "plans" associated with racism, bigotry (every kind imaginable), misogyny, xenophobia are the plans that he actually could outline details associated with.

I know many people who voted for Trump. Some of them did so for the reasons you mention. Others did so because they felt our party had abandoned them, and they decided to take a chance on somebody not from our solar system.

They realize what he stands for, but they think he will not be able to expel all Latinos, send Muslims to concentration camps, etc. They think some kind of "firewall" exists that will stop him from doing the bad stuff, but allow him to accomplish some good things. Whatever those might be. They have some vague ideas about taxes, regulations, gun rights, the usual stuff.

No one turns to racism , bigotry and hate because they feel abandoned by a political party. (Although this seems to be used by white middle class voters that don't want to be seen as bigots/ racists to comfort themselves)

If you support racism , bigotry and hate because you "want change' .... the only change you are supporting is that of bigotry and hate.

If you support racism and bigotry .... you are in fact, a racist and a bigot

NO ONE says the vomitus spouted by Trump "had nothing to do with it" OR that the people who actually voted for him are anything better than spit on the sidewalk.

Hillary didn't lose because of who voted for Trump. What kind of shock is it supposed to be that the GOP is chock full of, well, deplorables?

Hillary lost because she didn't get people of color (black and brown) and the WWC who believed in Obama (but are now suffering entirely because of Republican/conservative/.1%-protectionist policies in the states and obstructionism in Congress) to come out and vote.
