2. To me, it is not about how many people voted for Trump. He did worse than Romney. It is about

the 46% of eligible Americans that couldn't be bothered to vote with a maniac on the ballot and the Supreme Court hanging in the balance. That, my friend, is the much bigger problem.

5. it is about a choice between two candidates that had record high negatives

and the question is why - since when is putting up a candidates with record high negatives risk free, particularly when the closest aid has a husband who gets caught sexting a 15 year old girl?

i think these issues are being totally overlooked - that luck was pressed and ran out. both her high negatives, and Weiner's 'hobbies' were known risks, and not managed

The party core doubled down on Hillary knowing this risk. Biden wasn't available due to his son, but Biden really isn't different than Hillary when it comes to policy, and he doesn't have anywhere near the negatives. He would have won, period.

Why couldn't the party find a 'spare Biden'? Why didn't it have one? Why did it ignore Hillary's negatives as a serious risk factor?

They absolutely would have voted for Cruz. I have a hard time accepting that anyone could believe otherwise.

7. Don't know if he'd have won the same, but the polls indicated he'd have won more voters than Trump

Back in the Spring the polls had both Trump and Cruz losing to Hillary in the general election, but they had Cruz losing to her by less of a margin than Trump.

while he does well among right wing evangelicals is that he just uses too many words for every. single. response. ever. He is almost too intellectual in his demeanor if that makes sense. I read I think where he congratulated Trump and for the love man....just say congrats. It was this deep long thought. I think R felt like he would do more talking and less doing.

Republicans, racists especially, would have flocked to him to prove they're not racist b y saying "look I voted for the brown guy, I'm not racist."

Ted Cruz would not have gotten the same number of voters as Trump did. Tedito's audience appeal veers towards the Religious Right. The Donald is a far more experienced and talented BS artist.

Hillary would have buried Cruz in the general. Trump was a showman who got a huge boost from the media. Cruz would have just been another Republican......a terrible one, for sure.....but still more of an establishment figure.
