Very, very good. "Conservatives" are in bad shape. They pulled out all the stops and their tactics failed.

I heard some mope talk about the recent "conservative"/Republican revival meeting and guess what she said? The wording was changed but it's the same old "We have to get more conservative" crap. You know, "small government" blah blah blah. Yeah she said something about how they have to do immigration reform in order to appeal to Hispanics and to try to lull them into their cult. But it was nothing new. Not a damn thing.

It was the same old same old spewed by a new face who seemed to really believe she had something new.

Their ideology isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Truth is, as the whole tax fight showed, what is really happening is that the "blue dogs" are in charge again. Several people have figured out that you need a few moderate GOP'ers to vote with the democratic minority in the House, and you can pass bills. Even Bohner is gonna figure out how to leverage this. This puts the moderate republicans, and their blue dog buddies firmly in the drivers seat. This will marginalize the Tea Party, but it will also "sideline" the progressives. They'll be forced, again, to vote for whatever the Blue Dogs dictate.

...and unfortunately, with the way the congressional district lines have been redrawn to create so many rural conservative districts, I fear the only way we'll get a majority again any time this decade is to put up highly-conservative Democrats to run in those districts. Liberals don't stand a chance there.

legislation on gun control, immigration reform, climate change, tax reform, spending cuts, and invest in education, R & D, infrastructure repair, and jobs to get this economy going again.
Alot of work -- and it could be done if a certain party stops holding this country back from its potential.
