Okay, when I saw Andrew McNaughten's "masterpiece", "The Forgotten Man", which depicts Obama stomping on the Constituion, I thought our political discourse had hit a new low:
Turns out it's nothing new. There was a political cartoon in 1832 depicting Andrew Jackson doing the same thing.

(27,247 posts)who will vote for Republican candidates based on one or two wedge or "patriotic" issues, despite the damage to their own economic interests. Some of those guys liked Reagan because he "talked tough" and got Iran to release the Embassy hostages on the day of his inauguration, even though it came out later that a secret deal had been arranged between the Reagan camp and Iran even before the election.
