Rightwingers finally outraged over "Free Speech Zones" at presidential events

Drudge has an outraged headline up on his site - after following the link to Politico, the article is flooded with the usual dumb hysteria about a "dictator" and a tyrant" and proclamations of "Amurica is a free speech zone!" from angry baggers.

As an antiwar activist herded into many a free speech zone during Dubya's visits to my town from 2001-2009, I can't help but wonder where these folks have been.

but not all that surprising. Have you noticed how they often want us to apply our standards to them, while they get to apply ours to them? Doesn't necessarily work that way.

The safety of the POTUS trumps a group of people holding misspelled signs.

On the bright side, hopefully today's events result in more Google searches for things like "Free Speech Zones" and "Stonewall"

The man, who held a circular sign calling for a ban on abortion, had climbed to the top of a skinny pine tree in the front middle of the crowd. He wailed throughout the ceremony from start to finish: "Think of the blood of the babies! Democrats are baby-killers! What about the babies! Stop Obama!" It was unclear who the man was.

Too bad they weren't in these free speech zones when Dumbya was Pres, or any of the other times.
At least now they know how it feels.
