Immigrant Shot In Driveway by Georgia Man

Apparently, the immigrant from Cuba went to the wrong address as directed by his GPS. His crime: he parked in the gunman's driveway by accident.

In terms of violence American society does to itself, Syria has got nothing on us.

1. Yes. Yesterday, a doctor and family friend was shot by a patient in his office.

The patient was a 70-year-old man who he had not seen in years. Dr. Gilbert was the kindest, sweetest doctor I ever met. He once saw my son (when he was 4) at his house on a Sunday for a problem. Who knows what motivated the 70-year-old, if anything. All I know is if that man did not have a gun, Ron would be alive today. And his wife and young kids wouldn't be planning a funeral today.

14. Yes, a good background check would have kept that deranged man from getting a gun.

According to 2007 court documents, that man stalked his neighbors relentlessly over a perceived slight regarding a fence. He would scare the family's 3 boys, trying to push his way into their house when their dad wasn't home.

I've known far too many gun owners who muse about shooting people. Things like "could you shoot a person if you needed to?", or "what situations would allow you to shoot without fear of arrest?" and so on.
