derp apparently Republicans are the tolerant, derrrrrp

A 'friend' posted this on Facebook:

I responded:

Firstly, I doubt Jeff Foxworthy said that and Snopes proves me right (http://www.snopes.com/politics/humor/fence.asp).

Secondly, most of this list is patently false, since Republicans can be just as divisive on major issues as they pretend Democrats are.

Republicans just don't quietly accept someone being gay. They've vocally objected to them adopting, marrying, teaching and even working scouts. I notice this list ignores that fact and focuses on the Republican homosexual who just, you know, happily leads his life and accepts not being accepted or respected by society.

Republican Christians have forcefully pushed their agenda at every step. They've demanded 'In God We Trust' on our currency, 'Under God' in our pledge and even made a big stink over our President possibly being a Muslim. Even though he isn't ... but what if he was? Who'd care? I don't see that mentioned because Republican Christians are quick to attack any other religion that isn't their own - whether it was the Republicans who opposed Kennedy because he was a Catholic or guys like the Rev. Billy Graham who railed against the Jews.

Republican pro-lifers are not just content on being pro-life. No, many protest, vilify and openly assault women who choose the right the Supreme Court afforded them to an abortion. Many are men. Many advance draconian legislation that even makes it impossible for women who've been raped to go through with an abortion.

And no, Republicans who need healthcare don't just go shopping for it. Many Republicans do what many Democrats have done in the past - get sick, go to the emergency room and give the rest of us with insurance the bill because our premiums always go up when the uninsured have to take a visit to the ER - whether it's for a heart attack, illness, broken arm or just the nasty flu.

I'm sure Republicans will happily forward this ignorance on to their friends without a hint of irony because it's exactly what a Republican would do.

That FBook post was so self-serving, snotty and divorced from reality it read like a hate note passed among junior high schoolers..
