Primary instead of Corzine's 60 millions, Florio could have narrowly defeated Franks-R due to Gore's coattails. Florio would win re-election in 2006 and 2012. Menendez would remain in the US House, Codey would remain as Governor until 2013.
NJ would have 2 honest old timer progressive Democratic US Senators.

1. I am one of Florio's biggest fans. He was an honorable man. Wish he would return.

However, I like Menendez, and I see nothing wrong with anything Bob did.

In fact I wanted to work on his campaign last year. I'm really not sure what to think of these allegations. If the hookers were of age, it should be a non-issue (Menendez is not married).

We live in a global society, and our laws are certainly not everyone's laws. That is a lesson we have to learn. And yes, prostitution is illegal in most of the U.S., and sex with minors is also illegal (although the exact age at which is becomes illegal is a moving wall), but unless he brought these working girls to the U.S., it's not a factor outside of mud slinging by his opponents.

As long as they are at least 16, he could argue that he is not violating any U.S. laws, since age of consent and prostitution are both things that vary by state.
