Chinese factory fence

Was the fence Romney was describing at the Chinese factory with the barbed wires direction pointing inward or outward? Were the guards in the towers with guns looking inward or outward? These factors would determine if the fence was there to keep the workers out or from escaping.

I mean, the workers weren't looking up from their work, Romney finds that unusual and asks, and then he actually believes it when the boss says "We take our work seriously here"???
Romney is many things, but I don't think he's stupid. That was an extraordinary piece of that tape. I'm amazed I didn't hear about it until last night. It was far more damning than the 47% remark.
