Romney promises to let corporations run the country as they see fit

Filtering what I heard him say at today's speech at the NRA, I heard him complain that Obama is interfering in the freedom of major banks to do their job. He reminded us that Chase Manhattan and others aren't cold faceless entities, they're bank tellers and loan officers with mouths to feed. Corporations are people too,

He promised that there will be no forthcoming policies from a Romney White House to regulate drilling, mining, agriculture or banking in the interest of the consumer. In short, Mitt Romney said he'll shrink government to the point that all he'll have to do is sit behind the desk in the Oval Office and play internet flash games, while corporations do the heavy lifting expected from a president.

I wish I could say Americans are too smart to fall for this nonsense, but when Romney promises massive tax cuts, average Joes in the audience applaud and think: "he means my taxes".
