Uh, oh; Apparently Big Jim thinks our FRiends aren't getting the message...

Another Diatribe...

A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

...snip...

WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!

No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!

How many times do I have to say this.
They are herd animals.
Their pastors and leaders will bring them to the light.
They will follow.
Romney will become the great champion.

We had best be ready for a fight.

Summary: Savage talked with a Santorum-supporting caller who disagreed with how Savage would support Romney in 2012 as the only hope in defeating Obama.

We all remember Harold Ford's aborted attempt to run for senate from NY. He flip flopped hard on abortion and gay rights. The Democrats in NY saw through his b.s. and rejected him.

No political base wants a complete and total liar representing them in an election. You want someone whose views are closest to your own, not someone who changes their views based on the political circumstances.

I will likely vote for Obama, Rimjob will likely vote for Rmoney, and we will end up with a corporate friendly leader no matter who loses for winning.

I can't believe I am saying this either but reading some of these threads at FR lately have made me have a slight respect for some of them. The GOP has shit all over their base this year and this is just two years after that base gave them their huge 2010 victory. We all knew at the time that the GOP was just using the teabaggers and the Romney coronation proves it. I thought they'd all take it up the ass like they usually do but a lot of them seem serious this time.

I still think they'll back down and fall in line. Obama will do some minor thing that's exactly like a hundred other things he's done and JimRob will feign outrage and say he has begrudgingly changed his mind. "We must get rid of Obama as the very fate of our nation depends on it blah blah blah..." If he doesn't, I will be surprised and impressed.

I overheard some bar patrons spouting the "about any body but Romney" meme but they all eventually came to the conclusion of "anybody but Obama". These hardcore freaks will ultimately pull the lever for whomever the GOP throws up.

This what people don't get about republican's.

The reason they back the most bizarrely incompetent and mean candidates/elected officials is because of the evil liberal boogyman.

Yeah, they don't like Mittens one bit.

But, they LITERALLY think Barrack Obama (and it would be ANY democratic president) is the spawn child of satan, Stalin and Osama Bin Laden. FAR too much time between now and November for them to be brought home by the world is coming to an end if Obama is reelected hyperbole.

until they speak the Party Line, right? So it is all a huge act on each side, meant to slow progress as much as they can. I'm sure the same people do that work on this site and that one, as it is the same gig, pushing to the soft do nothing middle of the political community in question.....they will hear lectures on Pragmatism from people who were with Regan at Sacramento. That sort of thing.
