Poor conservatives, can't figure him out

With Republicans once again insisting that their rank unpopularity has nothing to do with their unpopular positions, and everything to do with the unpopular way they talk about their unpopular positions, it might be worth lending them a helping hand.

Specifically, I want to help them figure out their messaging over President Barack Obama.

You see, there are three versions of Obama floating around wingnut land, and even more nicknames than you can imagine to describe him:

He's Barry Soetoro Bambi Obummer O'Carter, the Spineless, Nutless Wonder -- a secular weakling that is being pushed around by Iran and North Korea and making America weak, or...
He's Barack Hussein Alinsky, Brutal Chicago hoodlum who rammed Obamacare down our throats (over 14 long months) and brooks no dissent -- shutting down the free press, confiscating guns, and plotting to kill and imprison millions of conservatives into FEMA concentration camps, or
He's Captain Teleprompter, Obozo, the Messiah Barack SoVain LOLbama D'Ohbama Snob-ama, too stupid to speak for himself and fixated mostly on his own wonderfulness and celebrity status, while his supporters pray nightly to his visage.

Clearly, all three of these cannot be right, and such message confusion dilutes the GOP's ability to define Obama in the minds of most Americans. So let's start with what all conservatives can agree on:

The politics are going to overwhelm the policy. It is good politics to oppose the black guy in the White House right now, especially for the Republican Party.

Of course, that will come as a surprise to no one, and it certainly won't help them win anything. But as we can plainly see, the GOP has no interest in winning anyway.
