This country was always considered to be Of the People, By the People and For the People. Now it appears to be Of the Corporations, By the Corporations and For the Corporations. You should also throw in the lobbyists as part of that group.
I've read many well written thoughts over the last 8 years on this forum and my current conclusions are pretty simple. We will never see any substantial and meaningful bills passed in this congress because the latest stated goal of the majority of the House wants to try to make the President's term in office a bust. They have forgotten what's best for the people of this country. Politics is all what this is about. We as the people of this country have to do what is best for us. Remove these officials in office who do not have our best interest in mind by voting them out and replacing them with people who will do the people's bidding not the corporations bidding. Sign petitions, make calls, go to the local "meet your representative" and let them know what you expect. Write letters to the editors. We cannot be the silent majority. Look what that has resulted in the last 4 years.
I'm certain that the minutia we read daily does not add anything new to the situation, but merely of form of entertainment.
We need to hit the ground hard and express ourselves in order to make any changes. They did it during the revolution, we don't need to take up arms, but we do need to let the people we've elected know where we stand.
I'm just fed up with this daily dose of crap we are subjected to.
