endless bloviating about "conservative" talking points.

If my husband and granddaughter hadn't been there to see me get my Master's Degree (MBA) and perhaps been embarrassed about my behavior, I would've gotten up and left during his speech. In retrospect, I wish I had. i could've used it as a teaching moment.

They tend to think there is nothing other than right or wrong, black/white, up/down. With only two answers, you can not figure out that your own opinions may be in the minority, because you are certain that you are right, Therefore, most people must think the same way, except for those people you can't stand, so ignore them.

That allows them to stand in a crowd of 11 people and claim that they represent the majority of the state. It doesn't matter that there are hundreds across the street with opposing viewpoints. Believing in a mythical sky creature helps deal with spouting hypocrisy, faith can explain away everything.

Michele Bachmann? Rick Santorum- who publicly denigrates college education? Most GOPers don't have problems with young adults being saddled with thousands upon thousands of loan debt all while making it more difficult for them to find jobs as soon as they get out and most young adults know this. So, again, who would they want to have speak and why? Just more whining about being persecuted by the group of people whom demand responsibility of others that they don't accept themselves.
