Scandal-gate in a nutshell

1. People like the President. Normal, non-insane people like the President. They may not always agree with him, they may think he's made some mistakes, but they know that's par for the course for any president. They see him as earnestly trying to do a good job and help people.

2. People are sick of the GOP. They are sick of the whining, the sore-loserness, the endless obstruction, the hate speech, the misogyny, bigotry, war on voting. The GOP is perceived as a bunch of loud-mouthed, ignorant bullies. And rightly so.

3. Under these conditions, the GOP has next to zero credibility in the eyes of reasonable people. They are just so sick and tired of this same crap from them - people just aren't listening anymore. People want them to work with the President, fix the economy, and shut up.

to put the GOP out of business once and for all.

But so long as there are cowards, fools, and people too stubborn to admit when they've been duped, there will be a market for the toxic slime the GOP sells.
