You have to realize that pissing off liberals with these kind of statements is just added gravy for these wing nuts. Their real intent is to scare their constituents into supporting people like Grassley that actively work against the interests of the very people they are trying to get to support them. So what can liberals do to nullify this cycle? It really helps to make fun of them so that their constituents can see that you are not bothered by these statements designed to both scare their base and anger the people that will never support them anyway. Arguing with them is pointless. Facts seem to bounce right off of them. Ignoring them gives them an unchallenged platform. They are like spoiled children and we need to treat them in a way that reflects their behavior. Stay firm yet detached from their infantile ways and then have fun with them.
