"And it’s just another example of judicial supremacy, rather than having the government run by the people we actually vote for."

As a republican, does he not see the hypocrisy in that statement?

His appeal to his base is his tough guy image.. He shoots from the hip and will inevitably get his foot stuck in his stomach!

if he wants to get through the mine field of republican presidential primaries, he has to say that crap regardless of what he actually believes. He may well be a bigot, but even if he isn't he must appeal to the dumb shit demographic to secure the GOP nomination.

Of course what he says in the primaries will come back to bite him in the ass during the general election campaign, just like with Mutt Romney, but they never seem to grasp that.

It won't work. The righties very much believe he helped Obama get re-elected and they'll never forgive him for calling a special election to fill Sen. Lautenberg's seat instead of replacing him with a Rethug.

He'll win re-election as NJ governor, but his national political aspirations are over.

...he loses some serious weight. He is a prime candidate for a massive heart attack.

I don't say this out of vengeance, but genuine concern. Chris Christie is way overweight, and there may be serious consequences if he doesn't get serious about it.
