If you don't want this war call your Senators and Congress people

Because the media types are already predicting he will get a resolution from Congress .If the people call there Represenatives all bets are off. We have to much problems in this country that need addressing like retirees in Detroit loosing there pensions because of bankruptcy Also if this goes bad this will no doubt effect the 2014 midterm election and the 2016 Presidential election.

and yes, he's Democratic. Eliot Engel has refused to rule out any strikes on Syria, in fact, he's the lead drummer for the administration on the news lately. I guess when it involves killing Arabs, it's the one thing that he and Peter King can agree on.

Both of my Senators and my rep are blood and guts (as long as they don't have to get their own hands dirty) Republicans.

Besides there won't be a war. At most we'll send a few cruise missiles and do a few bombing runs. There will be no invasion.

I am represented by a bunch of fanatic ideologues whose main concern is voting against anything Obama favors.

If Obama suddenly declared he was against abortion rights, Cornyn and Cruz would start a campaign to open abortion clinics in Catholic churches across the nation.

If he can do this Libya style with us not getting directly involved I'm for it but if we have to put troops on the ground it's pointless. Let people fight their own civil wars but I get why Obama wants to get involved because there is nobody internationally in a position to help the rebels while Russia, the Iranians, a possibly China are helping Assad.

I have been watching a lot of retired generals on TV talking a much longer war. They are chomping at the bit, talking about what comes later on after the "Surgical Strikes". This is just an excuse to start a war. The covert war by the Neocons and their Plan for the New American Century and their MIC allies has not been successful in Syria, so now they want to go overt.

But this is the real Pandora's Box in the Middle East and this will be a global conflict that could take decades. Are you ready to sacrifice and pay for it? Are you willing to risk that those folks over there won't bring it over here to us? Everyone on this board needs to fight this like there's no tomorrow, because that is what is at stake here.

Here's what I emailed: Please, no combat actions against Syria. Russia has said that they will retaliate against the USA if the USA has combat action against Syria. Let's remember that Russia has nuclear missiles and the last event we need is World War III. Thank you for your cooperation on this issue.

I get off work before their offices close.

But ask me if I think doing that will amount to anything.
