Make fun of his weight. I'm sorry - but she didn't.

She made fun of the annoying string her than the storm Election? Recovery? commercials that all Americans paid for.

Can't copy and paste from the NJ News web site on my iPad but I would suggest anyone go to the article, read it and then comment.

By the way - I agree with her.

And the article also nods to the fact that businesses on the shore are questioning the effectiveness of the ads.

There was no jab about his weight at all.

Christie's appearance. She said that she wasn't inspired by the images of Christie frolicking on the beach in a t-shirt. That implies that she found something distasteful about his appearance. The first thing most people notice about Christie is that he's obese, so I can see how he could take the comment that way.

5. Only when 'framed' as a jab

Christie, who had Lap-Band weight loss surgery earlier this year, was responding to a question about an online video that shows Buono at a campaign stop joking that images of the governor "frolicking on the beach" in his "Stronger than the Storm" television commercials did not inspire her to return to the Shore

He's not wearing a t-shirt either - he's wearing a pink oxford button down:

And she's right - it's not even remotely inspirational ...

bigd - I know you meant well - but trying to frame this as a street fight - won't work. She's not mean - and she's not cutting. That's Good Guv'nah Dougboy's (<---That's a jab) job. She's simply not the way HE wants her portrayed - picking on the fat kid.

I somehow feel (and now that I've met her) that this woman does not have a mean bone in her body. Seriously - she's running clean and fair and he can't stand that so he HAD to make this shit up.

The summer is over - he's paying attention now - and so are the same idiots who didn't even know what the primary was about in August. Did you see the NJ-12 stories on those idiots? Idiots or not - the idiots are getting the smarts real good now - and we cannot let him take the focus off the effectiveness of the ads now that the summer is over and the election is on. That means not giving ANYONE any reason even here at DU to 'turn up their nose' and say - 'Well no wonder the national Democrats and State party bosses aren't supporting her."
They aren't supporting her because she saves her most derisive and sugar coated 'jabs' for them - as well she should.

better for his health, better for the politics of this campaign. This whole dust up about his weight is a waste of time and energy.

Perhaps it is the Governor of New Jersey that is using his weight for self victimization?
