Will the anti gun control now point a finger at the security check?

Instead of background check which, I think, would have made it more difficult to the shooter to purchase his gun, they will blame the security. It seems that this is an old compound where all you need to enter is a badge.. And even though he apparently used someone else, he did have his own.

No metal detectors.

What really bugs me is even Chris Matthews talking about "all mass shootings under his watch." Yeah, I get it. As soon as the black man was elected, all the crazies ran to buy more guns to carry into public gatherings.

However, a finger does need to be pointed at the security clearance process. It is broken.

A few minutes ago it was announced on CNN that Hagel has asked for a review of all security issues, including security background checks.

as a start.

And he had other gun related incidents which, apparently, were not resulted in charges.

A defense official said Mr. Alexis was pushed out of the military because of repeated incidents and arrests. "There is no question there was a pattern of misconduct while in the Navy reserves," the official said.

Something like that should raise red flag. Should be filed.

anyone shoot up a gun show! If only everyone was armed it wouldn't even have happened.

He came with just a shot gun. He would not have been able to kill so many so quickly if he did not have the semi-automatic guns he found there at the Navy Yard.

Sadly, the "good guy with a gun" (security guard) was not able to stop him.

but it doesn't matter because gun-nuts are the same ones who vote to allow private for-profit corporations to take over the gubmint's job of security clearance on personnel, which used to be a duty carried out by people in the military.

they wanna blame security check failures? welp. they can point the finger at themselves on that one too...

there was one security man who was killed by him and his handgun was taken for additional shots.

Shows you how "arming everyone" can really work.

At Ft. Hood the soldiers were in their way to enter a room for some type of briefing. So no guns.

And, Hasan himself is a psychiatrist so he does not belong in this list.
