4. Never. It will never end.

I have drawn this sad conclusion over the course of the last 25 years.

I came to my political awakening during the Clinton years.

It just never made sense to me how deranged the republican hatred of Clinton was. What was not to like about him? He was a bubba, a southern fried kind of guy and even cool. I remember they used to pipe Rush Limbaugh into the gym I worked out at in the early 90s and thinking WTF is this guy talking about? It made no sense, all these repetitive talk of the evil liberal. I never met one of these liberals, seriously. I didn't get it. But, there was some really great guys I knew at the gym who at it up.

They just HOUNDED Clinton relentlessly, and it was clear the republicans had no interest in government, it was just one big effort to get Clinton.

The Bush/Gore election was a mystery to me. How anyone took Bush seriously was a mystery to me. He clearly was a halfwitted son of entitled privilege, but to this day I swear the country elected him just to shut up rebublicans who was half mental over Clinton.

He got elected, and everything they spent a decade screaming about went out the door.

They babbled about states rights and not nation building and the debt for 10 years, but they pulled the most bizarre overreach of federal government I have seen in my life over Terry Shivo, and every republicans I mentioned states rights to about it just didn't give a shit. After screaming about the debt through the 90s, the passed out peanut "rebate" checks to justify blowing up a balanced budget. That little thing was spun as "you cant trust the government to have a balanced budget because it will just start buying up things it shouldn't have." That of course is a distant memory now.

They screamed WAGGING THE TAIL with Clinton over terrorism, saying he was "playing politics" with his concern over terrorism. Then after allowing 9-11 to happen they blamed him for it and spent 7 years playing the terror card to death and justifying national building in Iraq.

It just is dizzying how they scream about something as if it is the most important thing ever, then do a complete 180 and scream how something totally opposed to is the most important thing ever, and there is absolutely no accountability for their prior positions.

The fact is, they sell hatred, anger and fear. The substance of it does not matter. It is a product that has always sold in human history. And, as much as I had this romantic notion of what this country was, it isn't that far evolved to not constantly buy into the shit they are selling.

They will continue to do what they do. Spin around trying to create or luck into some kind of crisis to take advantage of politically. And, the public will continue to follow them around and fall for it.

We needed healthy care reform in the WORST way. The most common sense and efficient system is single payer. But, it was made into a war on democracy to get even one small step forward on our bastardized for profit system. A SMALL victory in making the smallest of steps of progress and the country hates it like nothing else cause the Rs screamed bloody murder over it.

It will be a miracle if I see a better way in my life.

Jefferson said " An Informed public " not a Hyped RUSH to judgment . And ' Marbles in my mouth ' and Blabba O' SNIDELY , Shawn Hanni ty, have a definite perspicacity when it comes to feeding into Greed, Fear, and Prejudice , or as Shrub said " I call you my Base " .
