be the worst enemy of other women... Especially women who believe themselves to be "dependent" on men for everything, whether they truly are or simply allow themselves to be.

I do believe that as much as this may correlate with white race among females and more moderate family income, I'd also bet it correlates with lower educational levels--but I did not see that broken down.

Would be interesting to research that group and what about Cuccinelli got them to vote for him.

I don't get it though.

Ed was also saying how the Obama coalition was largely responsible for the dem win in VA. As a proud member of the Obama coalition, it feels good to be reminded that we have electoral power nationally, if not in every state.

It probably applies across the spectrum of voters. In metro areas they will tend to vote one way while those in rural areas differently. IMO this will help us more and more as there is less rural for folks to stay isolated from others.

Which seems to show his extremist views on abortion don't put off as many white women as I'd expect.

I spent a lot of time in Northern Virginia growing up, and the affluent big modern Washington Suburbs are a relatively recent phenomenon. When I was little, places like Bailey's Crossroads were little more than prominent intersections, and there was a small airfied with single-engine planes lazily taking off and landing as if there was nothing else in the sky. All that is gone now, and the whole area is fancy high end condos, malls and regional or world HQs of high tech and global firms. But the mentality of the rural area it used to be is far from having been eradicated, and much of the rest of the state is as backward in its thinking as it was 100 years ago.
