McCain Tears Into Cruz Over Shutdown: 'Stop! You're Wrong, You're Crazy!'

Sen. John McCain (AZ) lashed out at fellow Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) on Thursday for causing a government shutdown that made it difficult for hungry residents in rural Arizona to get food.

"I have to say, 'Stop! You're wrong, you're crazy!'" McCain exclaimed. "That's what I have to say and if I sound angry, it's because I have met and talked to constituents of mine who are on minimum wage who had to resort to go to food banks. I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that doesn't happen again."

And if McCain is starting to grab a clue that it's hard out there for people on minimum wage, so much the better...

For unleashing Sarah Palin on the country. She's as much of a nut case as Ted Cruz, and their types gained momentum and attention because of her run for the Vice Presidency.

He's responsible for his folks, that's true, but no matter what he and his family say, because they have to support the choice, I am sure they would rather that he had picked someone else in hindsight.

Republican waters, and he panders too much now for me. Once was a time, many, many moons ago now when I could tolerate him. Times change. He has changed. I just really don't have much respect for him anymore. No matter, let him run. He will get slaughtered in the Republican primary. Then they can nominate some extreme right winger and they will get slaughtered too.
