Rick Snyder is leading in the polls!

The "tough nerd" is doing the best he can to make life in Michigan hell on earth, and yet, he is leading in the polls.

Huffington post has Snyder leading Democrat Mark Schauer 45 to 31. We need to get on the offensive and take back the lead. The only way we are going to be able to save whatever isn't ruined by the emergency managing is by starting early for 2014.

Please contribute to Mark Schauer in his campagin to raise the state minimum wage, save Detroit, and fire the fascist Snyder!

it too seen to get a real sense with this poll?

I found this among other info on Mark Schauer..

Mark Schauer Says He Will Raise Minimum Wage To $9.25 If Elected Michigan Governor

Democrat Mark Schauer promised Monday to hike Michigan's minimum wage if he is elected governor, the Associated Press reported.

Michigan's minimum wage is $7.40, 15 cents higher than the federal minimum wage standard. Schauer's plan calls for increasing the minimum to $9.25 after three years of incremental wage increases. After that, wage increases would be tied to inflation.

Schauer appeared Monday morning at Avalon Bakery, a midtown Detroit baker and wholesale business, to announce his plan. The bakery has made national headlines for creating to-die-for breads, scones, muffins and other goods while paying their employees a living wage.

"We are better than having people work full time and live in poverty, especially when they're raising kids," Schauer told The Associated Press before the announcement.

And this!

Michigan Governor Poll Shows Close Race Between Rick Snyder, Mark Schauer (INFOGRAPHIC)

The contest for Michigan's governor's race may be closer than previously anticipated, according to a new poll.

While many polls this fall have given Gov. Rick Snyder (R) an eight-to-10 point lead over his presumed Democratic challenger, former Rep. Mark Schauer, new numbers from Inside Michigan Politics (IMP) suggest that neither candidate leads the race. IMP, a subscription-based statewide political newsletter, commissioned their own poll using both Republican and Democrat pollsters from Michigan, the Republican-affiliated Revsix of Pontiac, Mich. and Michigan Blueprint Strategies, a Democratic polling company in Lansing.

Snyder is a total ass but the democrats have to understand he is an incumbent and it's tough enough to beat an incumbent. The democratic party has to pick better candidates that the public takes a liking to that is going to attract independents who most of the time decides these elections like Senator Obama when he first announced he was running for President.Picking a Buono isn't going to get it that ran against Christy here in NJ didn't inspire anyone not even people in her own party. Now if Senator Elizabeth Warren lived in that state and announced she was running against Snyder he would be history because Warren is inspiring

is doing considerably better than it was about four years ago, with the automotive industry having made a recovery. Real-estate is doing much better as well.

I think it will be difficult for Democrats to unseat Snyder, especially with a roster of potential candidates without much name recognition. But a year is a long time in politics.

And a message that connects with independents and the politically malleable. We should have learned from the Wisconsin recall attempt that a lackluster candidate won't win.
