Harry Reid: I Won't Campaign Against Mc Connell in 2014: Talking Points Memo

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said he won't campaign against his arch rival, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who is up for reelection in 2014.

"Oh, no. No, I -- that -- I'm a traditionalist here, and that isn't anything I've ever done and will not do," he told Bloomberg's "Political Capital with Al Hunt" in an interview set to air Friday night.

As for Democratic candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes? "Well, she's -- I don't think she needs much of my help. She seems to be doing pretty well," Reid said. "Well, I can only look at the polls. I'm not campaigning in Kentucky."

Reid dismissed pollster Charlie Cook's prediction that Republicans have a 50-50 chance of winning the Senate majority in 2014.

Their real desire is to have an excuse not to do anything to help the country. They hated 2009-2010, with millions of hopeful voters from 2008 expecting them to do the things Obama promised in the campaign, all the while knowing that the people who make them millionaires would have none of it. That's why we got mandatory insurance profits instead of health care.
