She's behind a lot among independents. She has consistently been behind this Bifoon for awhile now.But I'm not to worried Chistie is just name recognition the guy for two years did nothing but stay in the media nationally and the national press kissed his ass http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2013/12/christie-leads-both-democratic-and-gop-fields.html

(34,589 posts)The problem with Third Way positions is that differentiation from not-totally-insane Republicans ain't easy.

(30,247 posts)"There continues to be no challenge to Hillary Clinton on the Democratic side. We threw Howard Dean and John Kerry into the equation for the first time this month but Clinton still gets 66% to 10% for Joe Biden, 6% for Elizabeth Warren, 2% each for Cory Booker, Andrew Cuomo, Dean, Kerry, and Martin O'Malley, and 1% for Brian Schweitzer. Clinton is at 58% or more with liberals, moderates, men, women, whites, African Americans, Latinos, seniors, and young voters."

(60,536 posts)in 2016 but will vote for conservative Republican Christie? Please explain.
ProgressSaves
(123 posts)I think Hillary would do a great job and won't hold my nose to vote for in the general if she wins the primaries.
But I think people will be thirsty for a more Progressive Democrat in 2016.
There's an indication that the Clintons are moving in that direction, but we'll see.

(22,000 posts)There are no candidates so any hypothetical match up is just that. Most people aren't paying attention to the race since we are still two years from a primary. Of course that won't stop them from talking about the 2020 presidential race.

(20,226 posts)very strong candidate who could win - There are a lot of people - especially in the media - who would like to prove their non partisanship by supporting a Republican - but most of the leading Republicans are such nutcases they simply are not viable on the national level. I don't think coming off as a bully would necessarily hurt him- as long as they can plausibly spin it as a bully with a heart who gets things done. I could imagine the media being very favorable toward him

(1,428 posts)WTF does that even mean? Is this the new way politicians campaign? Whatever horrible disaster happens on your watch you exploit for your own self aggrandizement come re-election time?
I guess Hilliary's new campaign slogan should be "Will govern in the spirit of Benghazi!"

(30,247 posts)One ran as the "9/11" mayor and Christie will run as the "Sandy" governor. Christie is on a high right now because he won by a landslide. Although exit polls conducted after his win showed that Hillary would win NJ in 2016.
All Democrats are being dragged down by the problems with the ACA. If "Obamacare" ends up being a success, then it will benefit all Democrats running in future elections.
Regardless, polls taken 3 years before an election don't mean much.

(24,096 posts)so why talk about glitches and the negative that is fed to us daily on ACA?
Those glitches were Way over exaggerated by the RW and the press. You do know that?
