Related: About this forumTom Kean just threw Chris Christie under the bus......
Former New Jersey Republican Gov. Tom Kean, a longtime Christie mentor, was stunned when he learned of the emails.Thats a big deal because they were saying theres no connection to the governors office, he told POLITICO. Thats a connection.
If Christie is losing people like Tom Kean he is finished.

I am going to throw another log in the fireplace tonight, put my feet up and enjoy watching TV tonight. I can't wait for Rachel to rip his throat out through his shirt collar!

Democrats should have slow walked this for another 5 months (until May), getting weekly denials from Christie ... then, present it in the heat of the gop primary season.

(11,175 posts)Kean's son is a Republican State Senator and the Minority Leader there. Christie wasn't happy with Kean Junior and tried to get the Republican caucus to dump him. Kean Junior ultimately kept his position but Kean Senior was pissed.
You write, "If Christie is losing people like Tom Kean he is finished." Unfortunately we can't draw that inference. Kean Senior is no longer one of Christie's core supporters. He probably relished the opportunity for a little payback.
Instead, I think the next domino to fall might be some of the Democrats who endorsed Christie. If some of those elected officials who abandoned Barbara Buono start to act as if they'd always been fierce opponents of Christie, that will be a bad sign for him.
