(63,901 posts)he was behind it, all in, from the moment he thought it up. Everyone around him just fell into line and took it from there.

(37,449 posts)other than his incessant whining temper tantrum about that f--king Fort Lee Mayor. Minions like his take their cues from the boss.

(31,798 posts)In the Star Legder, on NJ.com, and NJ12's website and let us figure it out.
There's no reason we should not be able to see every word in those emails that ran over phones, wireless data connections, laptops, computers, etc. etc. that I had to pay for on top of the special election.
Not a single one of them 'owned' that - the people of NJ pay for it and we have a right to see them in their entirety.
That's when we'll know for sure.

(28,246 posts)One of her guests stated that Christie's administration is run with paramilitary efficiency, and that his staffers are afraid to go to the bathroom without his approval----he knew about the bridge fiasco early, and was probably a big part of it.

(27,787 posts)The idea for the exact for of retribution tactic was probably not his.
During a small official meeting, on some legitimate topic, a meeting logged for that other purpose, the topic of what to do to this mayor is brought up. The extent of the retribution is determined. Something like, "Do we break a thumb, a leg, or kill the guy". The extent of the punishment is selected by Christie.
The minions leave, consider options, and later return and provide Christie these options ... again, as part of some other meeting logged for another legitimate purpose. The bridge closing is selected.
A Christie aid, having been given the nod, sends the email to the port authority guy with the "go" order.
Port authority guy, who already knows this might be coming, responds "got it".
Christie, like any good mob boss, has no paper trail of his own. He was always in official meetings. His orders and approvals on this are all verbal.
This is probably how it went.
