2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe problem for Christie is how he HANDLED this mess. It was a pathetic excuse for "leadership".
This blows away his whole image as the "hands-on all-knowing excellent manager who can clean up Washington". Here he is with all this dirt RIGHT THERE IN HIS OWN OFFICE who says he didn't know what was going on, and just as bad, how he NEVER INVESTIGATED this and NEVER TOOK IT SERIOUSLY. He was an IDIOT. And today he was all Mr. Humble Pie so away goes the oddly-admired chest-thumping bravado, maybe, and it all shows that he was submerged with people who played the worst kind of politics creating an environment that allowed it. So much for the "reformer" image.

(31,110 posts)been out of NJ for almost 30 years so don't have a good feel for the local politics. My family is still there and predominately repukes. I'm sure they will rally around him. Even though they've never received any aid from Sandy. Go Figure

Luckily it's all moot now.
It will be interesting to see where he takes his career after this.
