LA Times re: Christie today

Bridge scandal: Chris Christie, in me-me-me mode, is very sad. Very.

After watching New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie emote for two hours in a nationally televised news conference Thursday, we still don’t know why his minions decided to wreak havoc on thousands of commuters last September.

We don’t know what the true toll of human suffering was.

We don’t know why the governor accepted his staffers’ denials at face value.

We don’t know why he was satisfied with the answer that a “traffic study” was to blame for the nightmare that ensued when lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge from Fort Lee, N.J., were closed for three days.

And we learned that he doesn’t really know what all the stages of grief are, and that maybe the anger will come later. But right now, he is wallowing in sadness.

Actually, what he’s wallowing in is self-pity.

It might have been for the attention, but I'm thinking it was for the money.

"we still don’t know why his minions decided to wreak havoc on thousands of commuters" may be the most moronic thing written about this affair so far.

Exactly. Well put LA Times. I was struck that the aide was fired not because of what she did but because she "lied to me." That is telling. If she had told him the truth she would not have been fired? Really? So what was the lie? Maybe because she said there were no emails and it turns out there were?????

It's so obvious but no one seems to have the guts to say that he was behind the whole thing and he's throwing people on their swords right and left in order to try and save his rather disgusting butt.
