Four Supreme Court justices did not attend President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday.

Justices Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Sonia Sotamayor weren't not in attendance for the speech.

I know that one of them in the past has said they 'never' go to SOTU speeches.

14. We have the same conversation every year - it is not a big deal

it is extremely rare for all of the justices to attend the SOU. Scalia and Thomas stopped attending years ago. In 2000 no justices attended.
