So what did we lose by not electing Romney?

Just off the top of my head...

The ability to say things like "Our troops are fighting for our freedom in four separate wars!"

The forthcoming Dickensian economy

Reading all those stories about how GM failed because of the economy two months before Chrysler and Ford failed because GM's collapse took all the parts manufacturers with it

Not seeing the emergence of "full service foreclosure firms" that do everything from throw the former homeowner out on the street to set a date for throwing the new one out because they can't make the payments either

They would blame all the effects of Romney's policies on Obama, Clinton's penis, and of course Jimmy Carter. Just like they blame the bank bailouts that happened in 2008 on Obama. TARP was signed a month before the 2008 election, but it's still Obama's fault.

They also claim the growth that happened kn 1984 was the third year of Reagan's 1981 cut and not the two tax hikes and runaway spending Reagan imposed between Kemp-Roth and the start of the growth. Reaganomics was a supreme failure but the failures are placed a Carter's feet.

and Limbaugh run out of material to keep their fans tuned in. Let's face it--Obama is the #1 reason why they continue to make money. Rank-and-file RWers need the daily "chill pill" when their party doesn't have the White House, and that is what keeps them tuning in regularly. With a President Romney, they wouldn't have anybody in power to really be angry at anymore.

Oh, and let's not forget that we missed out on seeing President Romney's "whassup gangstas?" line in the Google hangouts.

Back then, they were able to work up people against the Dixie Chicks and other terrorist-loving liberal traitors whenever we worked up the urge to not say that we didn't agree with their approach to fighting their "war on terror".

Urban violence from large groups of desperate Americans with nothing left to lose.

Minor excitement of that sort.

Plus a few irreparable, accelerated environmental disasters.

Probably President Ryan after Willard threw in the towel before his first term was up.

All in all, on a national level, I think we probably made the right decision. Just a hunch on my part, you understand.

Although it most certainly wouldn't have been good, I'm still at a loss to explain what Romney's platform really was and what he would've wanted to do if elected POTUS. He was, frankly, a complete cipher during the campaign.

He would have approved Keystone XL on his first day in office, spent the next six months repealing everything Obama did (with special emphasis on Dodd-Frank; rich people already buy health insurance so the effect on his friends is minimal, but Dodd-Frank is a real problem) and spent the rest of his term whining about "the problems of the previous administration." In short, the exact thing Shrub did, but Romney wouldn't have started with Clinton's economy.

Please don't call her Queen Ann. That's the nicest part of Seattle and shouldn't be sullied by association with Mitt's wife.

Ann said just a few days ago that America lost by not electing her useless husband. We lost out on a lot of things, and they're all bad.

Mitt could have worked to fix the damage he caused...kinda like if someone sets a forest fire he has to go out and set things right. But that comes as part of your sentence; we don't award you the keys to the governor's mansion. I believe Romney could just as effectively fix the damage if we put a computer and phone line in his cell.
