WASHINGTON — There’s no question that Las Vegas has unparalleled tourism and convention infrastructure. The huge number of luxury hotel rooms in a compact area around the Strip — Dallas cannot top that.
But Vegas does have an image to overcome as it vies with Dallas and other cities for the 2016 Republican National Convention. Not just the casinos but let’s face it, the strip clubs and brothels not far from the city.
One brothel executive is offering assurances. GOP leaders needn’t worry about anything soiling the party’s image because with brothels, he says, there is “no chance of a messy sex scandal.”
“The legal prostitutes of Nevada’s bordellos service thousands of satisfied customers annually. Despite all of these men, women, and couples coming through the brothel doors, no customer has ever been outed or exposed by legal courtesans or brothel employees. Nevada Brothels have an exceptional record of discretionary practice,” wrote Jeremy Lemur, an executive at Sheri’s Ranch in Pahrump, Nev., an hour west of the Strip. “We all know that politicians and public figures enjoy the company of prostitutes as much as any other American citizen, if not more so. So why not host political events in locations close to legalized brothels, where public servants can blow off steam in a worry-free environment?”
