Harry Reid To Charles And David Koch: Come At Me, Bros

Harry Reid To Charles And David Koch: Come At Me, Bros

WASHINGTON -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday he's not afraid of the big, bad Koch brothers, and he'll do his damnedest to reveal them as a pair of profiteers bent on "buying America."

The Nevada Democrat has launched a personal campaign in recent days aimed at discrediting billionaire oil magnates David and Charles Koch, and the multimillion-dollar ad campaigns they fund to take down Democrats.

Asked at a roundtable discussion with reporters Thursday if he was at all worried about reprisals from two billionaires with a reputation for bare-knuckle tactics, Reid's response amounted to: Come at me, bros.

"I wish they would hire some private detectives to go after me. What a boring time they would have," Reid said. "I am one of the most boring people in the world. I don't care about being investigated by the best of them."

He can be formidable.............when he really wants to.

he's real late the party here. All of the leaders of the party should've stepped their game up a few years back before the Kochsters were able to push for those voter suppression laws and such. I'll give him credit for at least finally acknowledging what's going on with them, and trying to shed light to the public on what those two are about.

activities crimes, and punishable by law? Why isn't bribery among big-time
corporatists and politicians ever brought before the courts? Does fear lie behind
this non-action -- and perhaps bribery, too?

Isn't he at risk of losing his seat to the Koch money? If so, (and I don't know) then he is really only acting to save his own ass?

Chucky & Davey-boy are like a fungus.

We should be sad that they are among us.

They can only operate in the dark.

So how about a big gas-leak, and a little spark?

Powerless in the light of day.

A military laser might make them go away.

Join Harry and start spreading the news.

Let's make the Kochies feel abused.

(abridged)
These billionaire bums are bad for the nation

Let's make 'em work at a toxic gas station.

They have thousands of minions to serve as cannon fodder long before Harry gets close.

How about some hearings -- LOUD ones that the media cannot ignore and spin

with the result of a renewal of the Fairness Doctrine with an emphasis on accountability. Ie, you lie into microphone or the print media? You are subject to the penalty of damages. Eg, Rush lies about an innocent woman? Make him prove it or pay -- a lot.

Where's the revamp of the IRS regs on the 501Cs? I remember something in the news about it.

Where's the redefinition of a person?

IOW: DO SOMETHING!!!

They probably already have done this many times.

Good thing, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is an honest, decent person.

The KochR anti-America-machine, can afford to cast a wide net and use a lot of tempting bait.

donate to philanthropic causes, (the Lincoln Center and hospitals to name a few) this means that they are "good" for America.

Considering that even the wealthy get sick eventually, and also need to get out of those empty palaces they have created for themselves and cozy up to real humans rather than simply rolling in all their dough, it's no surprise to me that when they want to venture out to enjoy some entertainment, they wish that the facilities have some measure of comfort that they have become accustomed to. This doesn't mean that spending a billion dollars of their wealth to buy public office for their handpicked minions is good for America. It goes against every principle of modern day democracy, where one man, one vote should prevail.

Also, what makes "Conservatives" believe that once the Koch Brothers and their ilk have defeated the liberals and installed themselves as this nation's royal families, they won't come after them and install their own hand picked brand of 'conservative' puppets in their place. You're not conservative enough, Jon Huntsman and Mitt Romney. No food for you John Kasich for your medicaid expansion in Ohio. No unmarried men over 40 in Kochdom, Lindsey Graham.

I'm glad that he is speaking out like this. Give'em Hell, Harry!

Just don't get in any small planes. We're still not over Paul Wellstone.
