Will the national Dem Party please realize that FL has the weakest state party in America?

With Sink, a statewide candidate just 2 years ago, the special Congressional election was ours to lose....and we did.

Utah and Kansas have better Dem parties than we have in Florida.

Allison Tant and the rest are an embarrassment! Can the national party help us down here????

If we make FL go blue, and it can happen, it is game over!! Who can't see this???

Heck they don't like the choice of an abortion, of having gay marriage, of not having ACA, of the rich getting richer, poor educational standards in Florida, poor employment opportunity, certainly zero minimum wage raises.

Lord, I am so sick to my stomach over these results.

All the above could have been emphasized and Sink could have won if ONLY Democrats would have shown up. So depressing. How hard is it for the DNC Florida to gather in ONE district and ensure everyone had all the information ready to go. Heck with as much as they spent on this race, they could have rented bus' to pick up people. The area is not that huge. Only needed about 4,000 on that bus. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama did win the state twice, you know.

And Bill Nelson easily beat Connie Mack for Senate.

6. We have lost something like 15 of the past 20 statewide elections! We are a minority

in the legislature. Our delegation is a Congressional minority!

We lose winnable elections all the damn time!!!

FL Dems need to stop with the loser mentality and wake up!

And by the way, Obama won because of HIS machine. He would have lost if he left the election to the FL Democratic Party! That is God's honest truth!!!!!!!!!

She had all the advantages in a district trending Democratic!!!

The FDP is completely inept!!! It is time for folks to realize this and bring about change!!!

Had Democratic turnover been slightly higher, she might've triumphed. A lot of people here seem to think that it is (or should be) really easy for Democrats to win in Florida, let alone a Republican district. Low turnout among our voters- that occurs every midterm- doesn't help, of course. I should also point out that this was a special election, which usually boasts even lower turnout. All of these factors need to be taken into account.

Democrats of the fourth largest state in the whole damned country. It's only a feeling, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Republicans just paid off the independents to get to the polls.

I'm tiredtiredtired of how the national party cheaps out on Florida. They've got to

1. clamp down on poor performance of campaign leaders, and

2. stop making Democratic voters and "volunteers" do all the damned work for them. Worker voters here are beat down and need more encouragement, period.

14. one of the most corrupt states, part of the deep south gerrymander/cheat for votes.

The vote was close. It doesn't take many votes, a couple hundred/thousand? to swing the election into their favor. I suggest finding the pockets of 50-100 votes where everyone seemed to vote and make sure those people really voted.

Reveal the corruption to get rid of some of the local-type-state officials. They won't be able to run for office again with legal troubles.

For example- Anyone ever investigate the covered parking full of brand new (2 year old) state bought cars found? Who bought those cars, what republican district was that? did they buy other cars using state money? where were those other cars shipped? South America?

For example- The huge 'hacker' scandal in the UK had connections to florida, especially during those years a presidential election was lost because of Florida votes. Their 'go to man' for phone hacks lived in Florida for years. Even if it's to late for the court system, expose them anyway.

I think the D party should spend less on silly TV ad warz, and a lot more on auditing their books for corruption/fraud.

The State Democratic Party here has been pretty rudderless since the 1990's and until O'Bannon passed away and Kernan couldn't decide to run again in 2004. We have been effectively neutered in the legislature as of 2010/2012 though I was heartened to see that Pence didn't just stroll into the Governor's mansion (but we would up with him nonetheless ).
