Wonk Wire: Americans Are Sticking With Obamacare

Americans Are Sticking With Obamacare
Posted at 7:29 a.m. today

Bloomberg: “President Barack Obama’s health-care law is becoming more entrenched, with 64 percent of Americans now supporting it outright or backing small changes, even as the fervor of the opposition shows no sign of abating.”

Highlights:

-RETENTION: 51% would keep Obamacare with “small modifications”, the highest level of acceptance for the law yet.
-MAJOR DECIDER: 73% of those opposed say the law will be a “major” decider in voting, compared to 45% in favor of modifications and 33% in support of law as is.
-VOTER TURNOUT: 73% of repeal advocates will “definitely” vote.
-REPUBLICAN RETENTION: 62% of Republicans want to keep the ban on pre-existing medical condition coverage. 57% want to keep the requirement for children to age 26 staying on parents’ policies.
-MANDATE: A 51% majority of the country opposes the requirement that all Americans carry health insurance.
-QUALITY: 67% have seen no change in the quality of care compared to a year ago.

Apparently, it does not fit into the beltway narrative that Obamacare is lethal for Dems in the mid-terms in November.

....they've been taught to fear the messenger and all his accomplishments....

Uncovering Fox lies about ACA has been pretty effective in my experience so far. Maybe the racism doesn't go so deep with my Republican family and colleagues.
