The President between two ferns -
It's my understanding that after President Obama gave this interview, the Health Care Exchanges saw a surge in applications. Now, it may be that it was a coincidence, that a lot of people waited until the deadline approached. But - if this interview was effective, does that point the way to getting people out to vote this November?

1. I understand he was appealing to a certain (youth) demographic,
that was his intention, to get support for ACA, and yes, similar could work for elections, but a huge problem is the effectiveness of repug propaganda, paid for by all their $$$. An Informed Electorate is a bedrock of democracy, and we just don't have one.

2. I'm looking at the difference in turn out when there isn't a Presidential election
on the ballot. We have the voters, the problem is getting them to the polls. Can we use humor that goes viral to get across the message that Congressional races matter?

4. We sure hope that we can,
as if we don't capture the House, and retain the Senate, we all are sunk, for a long time. Won't matter a bit if there's another Dem president.

3. Looks that way
Comedy and music!!! Start it up the week before the election. It appears to put people in a good mood. Good enough to get them off their asses and do something.
I have to admit that the two ferns bit was quite humorous. Sometimes the simplest things have the most effect. And people are sick and tired of all the bashing. No one knows what to believe anymore. Especially when it comes to MSM, FAUX in particular. |
