That would be a considerable improvement in effectiveness for the GOP, if the House can generate actual bill language and pass it without their own people shitting all over it. I'll be surprised if they pull it off--writing an actual bill, that is. (There is no chance whatsoever of such a thing actually being signed into law.)

I love it when the Republicans try to write actual law--which is far less often than one would think, seeing as these people are supposed to be lawmakers.

They do it so poorly it's always worth a laugh. You watch--if they put out some actual bill language, it will only be a matter of days before The Hill or Talking Points Memo reports that John McCain is now officially Panamanian, racing horses are now voting citizens, rich people don't have to report their domestic help on taxes anymore, or some other such stupidity.

They are far too corrupt to prevent some rich moron from buying a poorly written, self-serving subsection that is guaranteed to be embarrassing and poorly conceived. So we'll have that to look forward to, this summer.

2. Permanently barring the government from granting amnesty.

6. A tax cut to reward employers for their valiant effort keeping Messicans out of the US.

8. Requiring police forces nationwide to check immigration status on any contact with a non-police officer...if a cop merely tips his or her hat to you, he or she then has to check your immigration status.

9. And 7.

10. $100 million for foreign language training so cops obeying line 8 will know how to properly pronounce "Ihre Papiere, bitte."
