PORTLAND, Oregon (Reuters) - A candidate for Congress is soliciting mass urine samples from Oregonians as part of his day job as a scientist, a move some see as a novel approach to improving modern medicine and others call just another odd move in an offbeat political career.

Art Robinson, a Republican making his third bid to unseat Representative Peter DeFazio, a Democrat, last week sent out thousands of fliers across Oregon asking for volunteer urine samples.

someone who thinks enough idiots will participate and he will use that info for nefarious purposes in the future.

These days, giving any samples of anything related to your body should be carefully guarded... DNA and the like are used in ways we can only imagine will be used against us... especially by a RW hack like this dude. Urine can be used as personally identifiable info (PII).

That's what went through my mind while watching RMS last night while Ms Maddow did a segment on this.

Maybe paranoid but I would rather be cautious about someone like that.

Art Robinson is a unique nut job and I'm going to link to his interview with Rachel Maddow from his first Congressional campaign so you can see the guy in action.
Oh, and bear in mind that he is the elected Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party....
