I'm I missing something I though the NC primary was for the republicans

The reason I'm asking is because I listen to Jonathan Alter and Ed talk about the low voter turnout in NC primaries.Alter said the low turnout spells trouble for the dems in November.I didn't know democrats were voting in the primary. Also what was the breakdown on the rethug total primary votes.

3. There was far less controversy on the Dem side.

The GOP here was having a bit of a tea party fight.

That really wasn't happening for the Dems.

I want raw vote numbers on both sides.Because this will tell me (in my opinion) what side had the better get out the vote on the ground.

5. Not sure that tells you what you want to know ...

... if everyone pretty much knows that the Dem they prefer in the general, is going to win the primary easily, they stay home. The important vote is months away.

But if your preferred "establishment GOP candidate" is being primaried by a total nut job who could never win the general, you're going to vote.

Same is also true for the way the candidates will spend their money and run their operation.

You don't want to blow a ton of money and effort in the primary if you don't absolutely have to.

You want t save it all for the general.

SHIT!!! there were more democrats voting in the primary than republicans low turnout or not.So what was Alter talking about low turnout is bad news for the dems. The rethugs aren't getting huge numbers either. http://www.carolinatransparency.com/votetracker/

I doubt they have the complete graphs that include election day, yet.

Have nothing to brag about looking at those numbers early votes or not the media would have you thinking the rethugs are going to blowout the Dems in getting there people out to vote

9. Yep, and corporate media's too lazy to be accurate in their accounts. Easier to repeat the narrative

that was formed by the propaganda media.

Remember Andrea Mitchell? "Everyone knew that Valerie Wilson was CIA." She said it on TV because she didn't want to be seen as being out of the loop for NOT knowing. Rove knew the lazy, egotistical talking heads would perform as expected.

Unfortunately, even guys like Alter sometimes rely on the lazy way out, too.
