Straw Poll Shows Cantor Losing Badly to Dave Brat; Video of Cantor Being Booed

http://bluevirginia.us/diary/11537/straw-poll-at-7th-cd-gop-convention-shows-cantor-losing-badly-gillespie-in-possible-trouble

I'm not sure how much validity to give this straw poll of 7th CD Republican convention delegates by The Bull Elephant, but the conclusion is intriguing: "a large and unexpected lead by Dave Brat over Eric Cantor, and Shak Hill as a continuing but distant threat to frontrunner Ed Gillespie." One more conclusion that should give the Can'tor folks significant heartburn: his "opposition isn't just among fire-breathing Tea Party-types, but also among a significant portion of the GOP base in the 7th who prefer the "mainstream" candidate for Senate." Thoughts? Time for yet more popcorn?

6. Amongst the Republicans I know (financial types, but not tycoons) they loathe the GOP establishment

They consider Boehner, Cantor, McConnell as establishment types, true insiders of the Beltway (they aren't wrong) and that's the central problem with the Federal Government. They get it, generally, what we say all the time. However they're hatred for Democrats is so intense that its unthinkable they'd ever vote for a Democrat even if they supported their financial agenda 100% (much like the Clintons and the DLC are "pro-business&quot . So these GOP supporters back the tea baggers and their astroturf enablers, lock, stock and barrel. They've swallowed the libertarian pill that's been offered and they like what they tasted. They cheerfully ignore how corrupt and nasty these guys are (Koch, Adelson et al) and worship them as some sort of new god.

Its pathetic because they're being manipulated by the same old bosses, yet they have no idea how easily they're being played.
