Hawaii Five-0 Actor/Producer Daniel Dae Kim Endorses Gov. Abercrombie
HONOLULU Actor Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Chin Ho Kelly on the CBS television series Hawaii Five-0 and played Jin-Soo Kwon on the ABC series LOST, is endorsing Governor Neil Abercrombie in his 2014 campaign for reelection.
Governor Abercrombie has been a long-time supporter of the arts, said Daniel Dae Kim [on location shooting the film, INSURGENT]. He understands how important tourism is to our local economy and the role that shows like Hawaii Five-0 play in showcasing our beautiful islands to the world. The Governors support of Hawaii Five-0 has been integral to the shows production, and has helped enable it to be seen in more than 200 countries around the world. I am grateful for his advocacy of our local film and television industry.
Im honored to have the support of Daniel Dae Kim, said Governor Abercrombie. Showcasing the beauty of our Aloha State in top-rated television shows and award-winning films speaks volumes about Hawaii as a world-class film location. Our islands attract more and more visitors from around the world, which is critical to continue the positive momentum of our economy.
Governor Abercrombie took office in December 2010. He has since turned state finances around, led Hawaii out of a recession and invested in modernizing our infrastructure, which has created jobs and reduced unemployment. Hawaii now has a strong foundation to advance education for our keiki, improve benefits and services for our seniors and expand stewardship of the environment.
