6 Rabidly Right-Wing Republican Governors Who Might Get the Boot
They put right-wing ideology firstand voters dont like it.
June 27, 2014
1. Floridas Tea Party Republican Rick Scott.
Democratic opponent is former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist.
2. Wisconsins Union-Buster Scott Walker.
Democratic opponent is Mary Burke.
4. Pennsylvanias Anti-Teacher, Pro-Fracking Tom Corbett.
His Democratic opponent is Tom Wolf.
5. Georgias Ethically Challenged Nathan Deal.
His Democratic opponent is Jason Carter, nephew of ex-Georgia Governor and President Jimmy Carter.*
6. Maines Combative Tea Partier Paul LePage.
His Democratic opponent is U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud, in a dead heat with LePage.**
*Carter is running on education, ethics, and the economy, and also promising to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. The Republican Governors Association, headed by New Jerseys Gov. Christy who did expand Medicaid under Obamacare in his state just bought $500,000 in ads attacking Carter for that stance.
**Eliot Cutler, an independent is said to be more likely to help LePage be re-elected than win himself. In 2010 he split the vote and LePage was elected.

(3,521 posts)5. Unfortunately, I think Walker is very likely to be re-elected in Wisconsin.
Mary Burke will be demonized in TV ads which will saturate the airwaves.
