http://blog.sfgate.com/nov05election/2014/08/05/honda-drops-off-most-vulnerable-incumbent-list/Back then, the site said Honda is worse off than he was six months ago and momentum has shifted away from him to fellow Democrat Ro Khanna, who has forced Honda to go on defense.
But what a difference a primary election makes, particularly one where Honda drubbed Khanna, 48 percent to 28 percent.
Now Honda is completely off the list. Khanna, the latest report says, underperformed in the primary and now lags Honda in cash for the final months of the race.

And maybe a first name?

(6,486 posts)I used to be in Anna Eshoo's district but in the last redistricting, my area got moved to Honda's district.
I became very skeptical of Khanna during the primary. For one thing, if you read between the lines, all his campaign flyers seemed to have slightly disguised right wing talking points (disguised because this is a liberal district in the San Francisco Bay Area) that tried to appear to be something else. For another thing, this person that I had never even heard of before had some massive big bucks backing him--for weeks, every day I got one or two or even three fancy glossy flyers from him. I think I could have started a recycling center with nothing but Ro Khanna flyers!
It is true that Honda appeared to be on defense, but only because of Khanna's apparently unlimited campaign cash.
