If you take away someone's food & they starve to death you can be charged with a crime. If you take away someone's health insure & they die from a medical condition that could have been treated, aren't you equally guilty of a crime?

It's a sincere question. I know nothing about this, only suspect that either Campaign is slipping the leash or Big Oil has its own reasons for wanting limitations to local governments' ability to exercise eminent domain. However the pipeline comes into it (?), I'd be extremely surprised to learn this had anything to do with protecting the rights of small propertyholders...

Like other so-called "tort reform" attempts to limit the ability of citizens to bring suit against business, this is undoubtedly a trick to get us to limit our ability to REGULATE business. THAT's ultimately bigger than anything.
