http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2014/10/wendy-davis-attacks-wheelchair-bound-texas-gubernatorial-opponent-in-new-ad/The Wendy Davis gubernatorial campaign in Texas is out with its most negative ad of the campaign cycle yet, characterizing her opponent, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, as a hypocrite for arguing against victims who sue for damages despite having reaped a high-figure amount himself after an accident paralyzed him 30 years ago.

Well, yeah, that is the definition of hypocrisy.

The ad is true it has nothing to do with him being disabled its about him being a hypocrite him suing for his accident then when others tried to sue for there pain and suffering he denied others

(16,916 posts)Davis was tanking before the ad (which is why she went there, right?).
If Davis loses, there will be some who blame this ad, and ignore that fact that Davis has NEVER had a lead in any poll, and has never even come with the margin of error on a single poll.

(1,428 posts)If a Democrat is pointing out Clarence Thomas is disgusting hypocrite because he's Black and against virtually every law designed to help Black people you're playing the "race card" because you mentioned his race. Denoting someone's race is not the definition of racism. But Republicans will claim this over and over and one ever calls them on it.
If a Democrat calls out Sarah Palin as a brain dead idiot not fit for the office of dog catcher Republicans will claim this is an example of Democrats "War on Women". Completely ignoring the fact that the War on Women is about gender equality in employment, healthcare, etc. and not about calling out ignoramuses who happen to be women.

(1,122 posts)The broadcast and cable news networks cannot be trusted. There is too much of a corporatization going in any just about facet of American life. Why would we expect for a difference in broadcast and cable news networks? Even MSNBC hasn't addressed "Net Neutrality," correct, given that Comcast owns NBC?!
