Hagan up 2.4 and Gardner up 1.3.

So many very close races.

3. Democratic voters in midterms

I also was surprised to see Gardner suddenly up over Udall. He had been trailing for quite some time. I'm astonished that the voters in Colorado might send this guy to the Senate.

However, your question is why? I'm no political guru but here is what I believe. You know how Ed Schultz always says that Republicans lie, it's in their DNA? Well, I agree with that. Unfortunately what's in the DNA of Democratic voters is NOT voting in midterm elections. The majority of registered Democratic voters just don't vote in midterms. I don't know why, they just don't. As far as I'm concerned 2014 marks (or will mark) the 100 year anniversary of low Democratic voter turnout. It's really sad. Bill Clinton recently stated - correctly - that if Democratic voters come out, Democratic candidates win. It's that simple. Yet it just doesn't happen. In Milwaukee, Scott Walker is edging away from Mary Burke and he has a 13 point lead among independents! How is THAT possible?

Lastly, Rachel Maddow recently said that if young women come out to vote Democrats will win the elections. I believe 2 things. First, she's right. Second, those young women she's referring to ( Maybe 18 - 29 year olds?) are not going to come out to vote. I have some really snarky thoughts as to why but I've decided to keep those to myself.

So brace yourself for a Republican takeover of the Senate. Unless Ed Schultz's prediction of an historic turnout is correct - and I wouldn't bet on it - we may see as many as 8 Senate seats go from blue to red. Then we are in for 2 really lousy years.

I live in Ft Collins and have seen and received Gardner propaganda. I have had two visits delivering flyers for Gardner. My wife received a phone call for Udall.

and get/see almost nothing but pro-gardner bullshit.

i saw today that the rag coloradoan didn't endorse either candidate and had previously endorsed the puke running against polis.

that, and the Quinnipiac polls are the only ones that show Gardner with a lead outside the margin.

The Quinnipiac Poll is a clear outlier, and FOX? Well...it's FOX! Watch the trend, not the peaks and valleys. Unless further polling confirms the change, Udall will fight to a win by an approximate 1.5% margin.
