Wendy Davis fired up the Texas Southern University troops and then they headed to vote (VIDEO)

Wendy Davis attended a rally at Houston’s Texas Southern University (TSU). She was well received with a crowd in excess of 500 students on a rather hot but beautiful afternoon. The atmosphere was cheery and jubilant.

Wendy Davis said, “This is our battle.” She asked the students to vote early. More importantly she asked them to talk to all the people they know including their families and friends encouraging them to vote. Her reasons for the importance of voting echoed what she has been saying for months which still holds true.

*Full day quality pre-school for 4 year old
*Access to college for every high school student
*Increased minimum wage
*Equal pay for women for equal work
*Access to Medicaid Expansion to the Affordable Care Act

There were buses ready to take any students that wanted to vote to the polls that afternoon. Many students took advantage of the ride and performed their civic duty. It was evident from that the crowd was listening. It was a crowd of students that knew well that it matters who is elected to be governor of the great state of Texas.

Watch Wendy Davis entire inspiring speech at TSU " target="_blank">here.

She is very clear in what she stands for. Specifics! Not just a bunch of patriotic sayings. I do hope she wins, for Texan's sake.

but the latest polls have her down by 15 points with less than 2 weeks to go.
Unless Abbott makes a MAJOR gaffe, he's going to win, I hate to be a realist, but it is what it is.

Wendy Davis would never be mistaken for a Liberal. And yet she's being crushed by douchebag.

How's that a trend towards blue?

which traditionally votes Dem, Texas, IMO, is on the verge of turning purple and in a few years, will trend blue.
Of course, this is just my educated observations.

who want to frack every inch of the state! Since e are not yet a a closely contested state we get little help from the DNC and other organizations. We got more this year than in years past I believe, but we still hear 50 Republican ads to every one Democratic ad.
There are so many potential Democrats here that have to be brought into the election process, like a huge untapped reservoir, we will turn blue eventually. The question is, how long will it be?
