Watch Chuck Todd's journalistic fail come back to bite him (VIDEO)

Chuck Todd inserted himself into the news by taking sides in the Mitch McConnell Alison Lundergan Grimes Senate race.

"It just came across as you are trying to be a US Senator, you want to cast tough votes? You can’t even answer that question? It borders on disqualification. To some voters they are going to sit there and say I can’t vote for you and I don’t want to vote for him. I don’t know what to do." --- Chuck Todd

The Republicans made ads featuring Chuck Todd's comments. Today Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) shows why journalists cannot make themselves the story.

Chuck Todd is owned and operated by the same people who own and operate Mitch McConnell.
Todd's problem is he doesn't work for Foxx and has to somewhat obscure his loyalty to the people he represents.
Sean Hannity does not have that problem and can advertise for his employer freely.
At least GOP operatives such as Mitch McConnell are becoming more open in supporting their 'employers'.

McConnell opened his remarks by saying, “Is this working? I know it’s been a long, but very inspiring day. And I want to start by thanking you, Charles and David...............

I remember the President talking about it during the summer and requesting money from Congress. He and Gregory are ruining MTP. It is unwatchable. All the Sunday shows are bash Democrats praise Republicans. The rethugs are the ones destroying this country. I really want to scream this all the time from the mountain tops. Shame on NBC for having this creep on.

He [Chuck Todd] and [David] Gregory are ruining [Meet the Press ]. It is unwatchable.

Credit has to also go to NBC News.

This is direction that program has been taking for a few years. So NBC should not be dismissed while only crediting previous host David Gregory and his latest replacement Chuck Todd. NBC is fine with the rightwing/Republican suckup, the lack of real journalism, and the false equivalencies.

What becomes a problem are those ratings for Meet the Press. But, NBC hasn't been smart. Given what has become of that network's prime-time ratings (30 years the network premiered The Cosby Show and ruled Thursday nights, which moved the network to finish at No. 2 for the 1984-85 season and, of course, shot up to No. 1 for the 1985-86 season), this is attributed to horrible leadership and some other characteristics one might want to know which would address what goes on behind the scenes (like, perhaps, cronyism).

I don't watch Meet the Press anymore. And I've moved myself off the other Sunday-morning roundtable discussion shows. I feel what time I was willing to give any of them was at least 90 percent wasted.

This is my much watch Sunday TV show. I have learned things I never knew about. Today they talked about how AIG is suing the Government over them getting bailed out and the Government making a profit from bailing them out. Another segment is how rethug governors are privatizing prisons and giving contracts to companies that feel prisoners foods with maggots in them. And how it ends up costing statements more money.

NBC would never report these stories not even MSNBC would touch these stories.

thought he was slamming a 'Liberal' media host. I thought it was a story about clueless Republicans and cheesy talking heads.
