2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI voted early today in NC and it was busy!
The Repubs have cut the number of early voting days in NC and eliminated the possibility
to register/early vote the same day.
There was great turnout at the site I visited in Chapel Hill--and they had only
opened the doors about 15 minutes previously.
Another vote registered for Kay Hagan!
From the articles I've seen, the Dems/Unaffiliated voters are turning out in great
numbers--more so than Repubs. Let's hope we can keep this turnout going strong!

(492 posts)I voted yesterday around 1:30 in Asheville.
Lots of people in line and the poll worker said they had been busy all day.

(41,052 posts)Off subject a bit -JAMES TAYLOR supported Obama's 1st election I think. Is he involved in NC state politics or affairs much anymore? Thanks.

(31,319 posts)First time around he did a series of free concerts around the state--I went to the one here in Chapel Hill (his home town).
Second time, he did a concert just for the election workers here at Obama's Chapel Hill office.
Don't know whether he did that state wide.
